Backwater lifting station for installation in the floor slab

Ecolift backwater lifting station
Only pumps the wastewater in the event of backwater - Ecolift reduces the energy consumption to a minimum.

Attractive business field for building contractors

(Lenting, 19th October 2011) Be it with a black cover or a tiled surface, the backwater lifting station Ecolift from KESSEL is an intelligent alternative to standard lifting stations for wastewater containing faecal matter and at the same time is an attractive business field for building contractors: "The building contractor is not only able to fit the station into the floor slab, he can also install the entire system. Ecolift is designed so that no other trades are required for the installation", explains Franz Xaver Leibinger product manager for the backwater valves at KESSEL. The installation body has an in-built nine millimetre gradient that is adapted to the classics gradient of the drain pipes making it ideal not only for new projects but also for renovated buildings. It can also be easily installed into waterproof concrete. There is a gasket set to protect against pressurised water. Different intake and outlet nominal widths are feasible; spigots and sockets can be combined individually.

The station makes use of the natural gradient to the sewers

The backwater lifting station Ecolift offers a high level of savings potential wherever there is a natural gradient to the sewers: Whilst classic lifting stations run up maintenance and energy costs of around 330 Euros a year, Ecolift often only needs a fraction of this amount. The backwater lifting station is so energy-efficient because in normal mode it uses the natural gradient to the sewers and only uses the pressure pipe to dispose of water via the backwater loop when there really is a backwater problem - this is a significant advantage over classic lifting stations that always pump, even if the waste water could flow freely into the sewer. Due to the fact that Ecolift does not pump in normal mode, private house owners do not have to worry about annoying pumping sounds. This significantly improves the standard of living in basement apartments.

Water is still disposed of even in the event of a power or pump failure

Should the pump in the Ecolift fail, the operator is immediately informed by the switching unit via the intelligent self-diagnosis system SDS. In the case of malfunctions or incorrect installation, an alarm is sounded. Also, the pump is automatically operated once a week to ensure it functions correctly even after long standstills.
